Cast lines, catch fish of increasing rarity, upgrade rods, and repeat.
Fish The Web is a multiplayer fishing game on a small pixel island. Every other fisher you see is a real person, out fishing, chatting or sat on a bench.
Cast off the pier, wait for the bite, then hold to keep the fish inside the green bar until it gives up. Sell your catch at the stall, buy a better rod, go again. It's all very calm until something big bites.
150 FISH,
PLUS SOME RUBBISH
You start on minnows, carp and bass. Get the Bamboo Rod and the pike, tuna and hammerheads start biting. Plenty of fish keep their own hours: the Business Fish only bites in the river from 9 to 5, the Frog Prince holds court in the pond at 3am, and the Kraken wants a stormy night out in deep water.
You'll also reel in an Old Boot, a Lost Sock and more than one cracked phone. Every species goes in your Fishdex.
One catch in 200 comes up golden and sells for ten times the price. The whole island hears about it.
THE ISLAND KEEPS YOUR TIME
Day and night follow your own clock, so the lamps come on at dusk and different fish come out after dark. Rain makes the fish bite faster, fog brings out the Ghost Trout, and storms bring the Stormcaller. The first five minutes of every hour are a Feeding Frenzy, and a twinkle on the water means something better is feeding there.
FISH WITH FRIENDS
Share your island and your friends turn up next to you. Chat, wave, dance, sit on a bench, or star someone so you end up on the same island next time. Someone always kicks the ball into the sea. Someone always flattens the sandcastle.
BETWEEN BITES
- 55 upgrades at the stall: rods, reels, lines, boots, lures, bait and a bigger backpack
- Fishing levels 1 to 30, with better gear unlocking as you go
- Three daily and three weekly challenges on the notice board
- Shells, sea glass and the odd pearl wash up on the beach. Whoever gets there first keeps it.
- A daily reward that grows with your streak
- The Hall of Fame, if you like being top of a list
- A lighthouse, a shipwreck, a wishing well and a couple of secret fishing spots
- An old bridge in the north-west that needs fixing. What's on the other side is for you to find out.
OUTFITS
Gems come from treasure chests, challenges, daily rewards and selling your rarest fish. Spend them on blind boxes at the Lucky Tide stall: 283 outfit pieces, from hats and capes to a Shoulder Parrot. Mythic pieces are numbered, and there will only ever be 50 crowns.
Outfits are just for looks and never change how you fish.
