Critterton is a cozy puzzle about building a little town, one hex at a time.
Every town has places that make it what it is: a garden, a lido, a market, a cafe terrace, an auditorium, an aid post. A signpost marks a spot waiting to open. Settle a family whose colours and animals match what it asks for, and the place opens — and the neighbours who share what it is loved for get the most out of it.
Put a tile down and the town answers. A street draws itself between a home and the place it belongs to, houses grow porches and second storeys as the town prospers, and the critters walk out of their doors to visit.

MADE TO BE PLAYED IN SHORT SITTINGS
A level is a few minutes. Take back a move when you see a better one. Leave mid-puzzle and the game picks the board up exactly where you left it, even if your phone closes the app.
PLAYS WITHOUT COLOUR
The puzzle is about matching, so turn on Colour letters and every tile and signpost says what it wants in writing as well as in colour. There is a reduced-motion switch too, and music, sound effects and animal voices are three separate switches.
COLLECTS NOTHING
No accounts, no adverts, no tracking, no network at all. Your progress lives on your phone and nowhere else. Play it on a plane.
